Professional Experience
Fiber Artist & Textile Conservator
Independent Studio Practice
1981-1998 Performed museum-quality restoration of handmade rugs from around the world, with specialization in Oriental and Native American textiles. Trained under and assisted master conservator Shahin Medghalchi, completing high-level restoration for private collections and cultural institutions.
2014–2018 Silk Painter & Artisan Vendor
Bentonville Farmers Market & Regional Art Shows. Designed and hand-painted silk scarves, ties, and functional artworks. Developed a dedicated collector base through regional shows and the Bentonville Farmers Market.
Art Educator & Community Instructor
2009-2014 Life Styles, Inc., Northwest Arkansas — Taught adults with disabilities across multiple art disciplines including weaving, jewelry making, Shibori/tie-dye, and silk painting.
1983-Led workshops in elementary schools and community centers for both children and adults. Designed accessible art curricula emphasizing creativity,
self-expression, and cultural craft techniques.
